Strength Will Rise

This is one of my son's favorite songs.  And a beautiful truth!  Feeling weary?  Wait upon the Lord...your strength will surely rise...it's a promise!

Psalm 29:11 "The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace"

Word for Wednesday

What a glorious Wednesday! I was listening to a message from a pastor in Maine who was teaching to a group of men at a men's conference and he made a profound statement that was so full of emotion and reverence to him that it had stricken his vocal chords at the time of his message.  I had to stop and let it sink it with me and found I had a lump in my throat and realized it was resonating in my Spirit and I, too, would never be the same.  He was talking about our Lord Jesus Christ and the "familiarity" of which we use His name now.  He made the remark that he, himself, gets called Pastor Ken and doctors with a certificate are called Dr. so and so and yet our Creator and Mastor and King we so non chalantly just refer to as Jesus and he choked up as he said it and said "NO MORE".  He is Lord Jesus Christ!  For we are not of this world...He is a King and we are to be about building His Kingdom!  I've been deeply impacted by that message this week.  And I've searched high and low for this week's WFW.  I pray it touches your heart and you, too, will be a kingdom builder and a kingdom kid and a child of the King that loves to give Him the title He is due!

Revelation 22:13 " I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last".

For more WFW come on over to the Internet Cafe!  God bless you!

Life Lessons

This is one of the best e-mails I have ever received .... good advice on how to be a better person and live a richer and more meaningful life. I hope it blesses you as it blessed me.  Sending you a big hug this wonderful day that the Lord has made!

An Angel says, 'Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.'

1. Pray

2. Go to bed on time.

3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.

4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.

5. Delegate tasks to capable others.

6. Simplify and unclutter your life.

7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)

8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.

9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.

10. Take one day at a time.

11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.

12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.

13.. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.

14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.

15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.

16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.

17. Get enough rest.

18. Eat right.

19 Get organized so everything has its place.

20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.

21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.

22. Every day, find time to be alone.

23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray..

24. Make friends with Godly people.

25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.

26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus .'

27. Laugh.

28. Laugh some more!

29 Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.

30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).

31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).

32. Sit on your ego.

33 Talk less; listen more.

34. Slow down.

35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.

36 Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.

"If God is for us, who can be against us?'

(Romans 8:31)

God bless you!

Talking to God

I had a cute email forwarded to me a while back that had all of these notes on it from children who were leaving God notes.  I thought it was so cute, so I kept it.

This evening Joshua and I were talking about "talking to God" and waiting for His response and how that response time isn't always what we want it to be.  (We always want it to be immediate!)  More than anything, I think what we both took away from our discussion was that THE most important thing is to keep talking.  Don't stop or become discouraged.  It's so nice to have my son home and to have him to talk to too!

1 Chronicles 16:9 "Sing to Him, Sing songs to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works!"

It's been a long time......

My dear sisters and friends,

It's been a long time since I have posted anything.  If you will look at the last date I was on here it was January 10, 2011.  I found out later that day that the Judge had signed my divorce decree and although Jason and I had been apart for a year, and you think you are ready for it, nothing can ever really prepare you for the final tearing of the marriage covenant.

I feel blank inside.  I don't really have anything to offer at this point in time so I haven't.  I want you all to know that I have been on Facebook as a means to keep somewhat current with family and friends and not run away from life completely.

I hope to one day come back here and be able to put down what God has taught me through this time of my life.  Right now, I'm still trying to understand it myself.  I understand if you don't "follow" me anymore but I want you to know that I hold you all dear to my heart.

Numbers 6:24-26 "The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace."

Blue Monday

Happy Blue Monday.  I'm linking up with Smiling Sally and showing you some blue today!

I love this picture.  This is my father (they call him  Jody blue eyes)(he is standing to the left) and my Uncle Frank and their two sisters, Aunt Doris sitting in the rocker to the far left and my Aunt Liz in the brown shirt.  Aunt Jessie is Uncle Frank's wife and Aunt Essie is her sister.  This was at an Apple Cider shop that was oh so good!

This is my Daddy and my Aunt Liz sitting on the porch at my Aunt Doris's house.  We enjoyed sitting outside and when the cars would go by we would just wave because it seemed like everyone knew everyone! lol

This is me and my Daddy standing outside of my Aunt Jessie and Uncle Frank's front yard.  I had on boots but we were "going up the mountain" so Daddy made me put on tennis shoes.  He kept complaining that I was overdressed!  lol  He is a handsome man, in my most humble opinion.

Aunt Jessie snapped this shot of me. I just loved being in Tennessee.  I found it so beautiful :)

Aunt Doris, myself, Aunt Liz and Aunt Jessie.  We had gone to a cookout to celebrate Aunt Doris's granddaughter's birthday.  We had a great time while the sun was out....as soon as it went down though.....oooohhhhh myyyyy!  It was cold and we went home! The natives stayed and enjoyed an outside fire pit.

I had such a great time visiting with my family from Tennessee.  My Aunt Liz gave me a swatch of patchwork cloth from my Grandmother to make a quilt with.  And I heard tons of stories about their childhood that I had missed when growing up.  I hope to go back with my parents or my Aunts and Uncles again in a few months.  I cherished this time with them.
