Surgery Update

First, thank you, Jesus, for getting my beloved through this procedure safely.

Next, thank you, all of you, who prayed for him. We both appreciate it so much. And we needed it. Jason had a difficult time with dizziness and bouts of nausea and we were not able to leave, as originally planned, directly after the surgery.

This was a delicate procedure. He had a cyst on his epididimis (I'll let each of you look it up and cringe in private) that had to come out. Truly, he is in a lot of pain.

He is finally resting, though, and I am grateful to hear him snoring. It has been a long day. I'm a tired but sincerely grateful wife.

***When I came in the room after his surgery, everyone said "there's his Peach"......and he said very groggily "yes, she's my peach..isn't she beautiful?". I'm sure it was the anesthesia but it made me want to cry.

Thank You, April

My new, sweet, bloggy friend, April, has awarded me with the Marie Antoinette ~ A Real Person Award. April continually opens her heart and her home to us in the blogosphere so this is an honor coming from her.

The rules for this award want you to reflect who awarded it to you, display the icon, and pass it along to seven (7) other bloggers.
I pass this award along to the following bloggy friends:

Patti @ Fill Me With Beauty

Edie @ Rich Gifts

Lea @ Shabby Old Potting Shed

Cheryl @ Hope For Each Day

Kelly @ The Greatest of These is Love

Mimi @ He & Me + 3

Kim @ Homesteader's Heart

Kathy @ Blessed Beyond Imagination

Tarah @ Eyeglasses & Endzones

Bethany @ Raindrops & Rainbows

Stephanie @ My Sacrifice of Praise

Ok, apparently, I can't count. You know, I have a difficult time not including so many others that I feel worthy of this. But I do have another award to hand out on Wednesday so that will have to soothe my frayed feeling geiger thing I have going on about these things.

Blessings to you all ~ you know, I love you and think the things you write about on your blog are as real as it gets!

Abundant Blessings

Yesterday morning I came downstairs to leave for church and this is the precious sight I beheld ~ I hurried and ran for my cell phone so I wouldn't interrupt him and I could capture the moment.

You could climb to the highest mountain and never behold such beauty in my most humble opinion.

I guess I could have saved this for My Husband Rocks on Friday but I'm just feeling the love!

2 Tim 3:16 "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right."

Happy Birthday Kelly!

Myspace Comments

Happy Birthday Kelly! We love you! Hope you had a great birthday!

Kelly has just started her blog...so would you stop by and give her some bloggy love. As you can see, she is a Tennessee Titans fan. 2 years ago, this month, Kelly & Derek (her hubby) and Jay and I were in Jacksonville at the Jacksonville Jaguars versus Tennessee Titans football game. The Jags won that one. It was a rainy, rather cold day but we had an absolute blast!

The Jags play the Titans next week and we won't be able to go to Jacksonville this year, but we will try to get together. I am so happy Kelly is going to be blogging. She truly is one of the most genuine people I know and I love her dearly.

Kelly showing her true team spirit!

15 Things

Laurie Ann, from A Magnolia's Heart Beats, has tagged me. This tag is 15 Things I'm not afraid to admit.

15 Things I'm Not Afraid to Admit

1. I'm unashamedly in love with Jesus!

2. I believe that love always yields. Always.

3. Although I would love to be Betty Crocker, I'm a terrible cook!

4. I love going to Tennessee for Christmas. I love the cabin, the atmosphere, the people, the quiet.

5. Until I saw my daughter, I never truly felt loved.

6. I love Starbucks!

7. My son makes me smile more than laughing gas!

8. I did not want to start blogging because I was afraid of the internet. Now I feel more secure and I love the blogging community that I've become a part of.

9. I used to be a 911 dispatcher but one night after talking a teen out of committing suicide I requested a transfer. I never wanted to be in that position again. It devastated me.

10. My husband is my best friend :)

11. I used to be a people pleaser but figured out being a Jesus pleaser was a much better way to go. Lost a lot of friends but gained a Better One and a lot more peace.

12. I did not want to homeschool my son but now find it to be one of the biggest blessings in my life.

13. I am a very organized person.

14. I'm cooking Thanksgiving Dinner for my family this year! I'm so over my head but I'm prayerful and determined...and the Lord has sent me a helper!

15. My roots are showing...they're at least 2 inches long but I can't quit blogging long enough to get to the hair stylist! My mother will be so aghast at my hair at Thanksgiving if I don't get off this computer!

Now I'm supposed to tag other fellow bloggers to get to know more about and I tag these:

Mimi @ He & Me + 3

Kelly @ Our Family Ramblings

Tarah @ Eyeglasses & Endzones

April @ Straight From the Heart

Debbie @ Heart Choices

Stacey @ McCrakensx4

Ok, I would like to get to know these ladies better. Daphine, I would have picked you too, but I see Shortybear picked ya so I will get to read it from that tag so I'm still a happy camper! Love to all!
