Pay it Forward

As mentioned earlier this week, I was a recipient of some really precious gifts as a winner of the 'Pay it Forward' drawing at my sweet friend, Frizzy's place.

As a winner, you agree to post a 'Pay it Forward' post and in turn send three gifts to three new winners on your blog. So this is my turn. If you would like to be considered for my 'Pay it Forward' gift, please leave me a comment stating you would like to be considered and agree to 'Pay it Forward'.

I was truly blessed by the personal touches Frizzy put on her gifts and the timing was perfect for me. I was able to sip a 'spot of tea' and relax with my hubby after a very tedious time after his surgery.

I will draw the three winners on this Sunday night. 11/23/08 I will also show you what you will be receiving at that time. Blessings to you!

A Word for Wednesday

This picture just grabbed my heart! Godly friendship has great value. I have experienced great comfort this week from many friendships as I have been called to my husband's side to give extra measures of myself to him.

I would like to say thank you to my bloggy friends who have been prayerful for us. Honestly, it's helped so much. We have been strengthened in the Lord. We still do not have the pathology report, but Jason is able to report to work tomorrow and drive.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 "Two are better than one. Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion"

As a last minute note ~ my friend Kim, over at Homesteader's Heart, is having some trouble with her blog. Many of you know Kim as the host to Friday's Funnies. Can you all be lifting her up in prayer. Her site as been reported as a spam site and she is unsure how to deal with the blogger email. Let's pray for wisdom in dealing with this and a quick fix!

Blessings to you!

Thank You, Frizzy

I received this beautiful gift from my sweet friend, Frizzy, last week right after Jason had his surgery. I had won the "Pay it Forward" contest she had posted and I'm to follow suit as the 'pay it forward' concept goes.

The gifts are precious and she put quite the personal touch to them. I enjoyed the tea, Frizzy, as you suggested. And I love the lotion! The notepad has already been used to start jotting down notes for Thanksgiving and as soon as I start putting up my five Christmas trees...the ornament will go up!

Thanks, Frizzy!! I truly have enjoyed each gift. I hope to have my 'Pay it Forward' post up by week's end.

Blessings to you!!

Miracle Monday

My friend, Beth, hosts Miracle Monday. I can think of no greater miracle than the gift of salvation and a heart surrendering to the Lord. Today, I would like to tell you of one that hits very close to home.

Allow me to introduce to you, my sister-in-law, Holly. She is now my sister in Christ. Holly surrendered her life to the Lord last week. Praise the Lord!!
I would like to tell you about Holly. She is Jason's twin sister. This particular picture was taken when she was 19 and still aspiring to be a model. That career never really took off for her and she pursued it up until a few years ago.

Sisters, I am going to try and do this miracle the justice it deserves. I am struggling, to be honest. I wish I could tell you that Holly and I have had a good relationship, but that would be less than truthful and the real truth is the day I entered into Jason's life, the twin in Holly disliked me immensely and all the love I gave her to try and change that over the years was never received or returned.

I've written this post twice and erased it because I felt like it was a record of wrongs so hopefully I'll get it right this time. I want to focus on the truth of Holly being a new creature in Christ. God's Word declares it!

Jason has spoken to her and says he can hear the peace in her voice. She has told him of how she heard the testimony of a lady that went to Calvary Chapel in Orlando when she came up to put on her permanent makeup and whatever that lady had..she knew she wanted it.

So she went to church with Candy and Brian and after talking with Brian some and reading her Bible, she prayed and asked the Lord into her heart. She said she could not believe the peace she felt. She also told Jay that she felt like she had been missing out on her life with her family.

What a start! Only Jesus can change the heart and only Jesus could have brought her to this place. We sit in amazement. When we thought she was so lost, He was working. When we had shared and shared and shared and ran into brick walls, He was moving her toward a person that would grab ahold of her heart and it would penetrate through her walls she had built!

He is so faithful and we are thrilled that Holly is now joining us for eternity with our Lord. However, we are starting with Thanksgiving and are hopeful for this new beginning!

2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

Blessings to you!

Friday Funnies

My friend, Kim, hosts Friday Funnies. Won't you join in on the fun? Click here to link up.

Ain't it the Truth!

A woman goes to the doctor for her yearly physical.
The nurse starts with certain basic items.
'How much do you weigh?' she asks.
'115,' she says.
The nurse puts her on the scale
It turns out her weight is 140.

The nurse asks, 'Your height?'
'5 foot 8,' she says.
The nurse checks and sees that she only measures 5' 5'.

She then takes her blood pressure
And tells the woman it is very high.
'Of course it's high!' she exclaims!,
'When I came in here I was tall and slender!
Now I'm short and fat!'

Flour and Water

How come when you mix water and flour together you get glue?.....

And then you add eggs
And sugar...
And you get cake?

Where did the glue go ?

NEED AN ANSWER?

You know where it went!

That's what makes the cake
Stick to your toosh!
