Good morning! A beautiful truth to hold onto today:

Isaiah 40:8 " The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."

I love this and appreciate you sharing it. I've been sad as of late as I drive around town and see the last signs of fall on the trees. I'm excited for Christmas but hate to see the beautiful colors go. Thankfully with God in our lives there is always an abundance of beauty no matter what the season.

I just wanted to comment on your comment on my blog. That's what we are trying to instill in our children too. The ability to WAIT for a purchase. To wait and see if it will go on sale, to wait and think about it, to wait and see if you really have to have it, to wait and see if something else will do instead.

My youngest loves expensive name-brand shoes. I have successfully shown him that he can get those same shoes for a fraction of the price at Goodwill.

Now, they won't be brand new (well, once they were!), and they might not look 100% perfect, but after about a month of wearing brand new shoes....they start to look like the used shoes. Who can tell the difference?

He may have to wait for it a bit, but at least he's saving money.
