Today's topic on Marriage Monday is humor in Christian marriage. My beloved keeps us smiling, grinning, and laughing. He always walks in the door with the most amazing smile on his face. He lets us know that he wants to be here :)
And he has the funniest sayings. Most of them are from western movies. He takes the best lines or quotes and applies them to funny real life situations. Or maybe not so funny real life situations and therefore relieving some of the stress.
I so appreciate my husbands sense of humor and the laughter that he keeps stirred in our home. We are a richer family for the wonderful gift of laughter.
Blessings to you today.

I'm so glad humor is a part of your marriage. It is for us, too. Steve is always quoting lines from movies, LOL! Great post, Debra!
We like to laugh at quotes and lines from old movies too. Your DH sounds like a great guy!
Thanks for joining us for Marriage Monday today, Debra.
Blessings, e-Mom @ Chrysalis
My husband has a great sense of humor as well. And I tend to be VERY serious. So, he definitely balances me out.
By the way, our family constantly quotes lines from movies...although since most of the movies we watch are from the 1940's, no one outside our family really knows what we are talking about most of the time.
Love,
Patti
Who would have thought humor could be so good in a marriage? Bird is the funny guy in our relationship too. He's in love with the one liners!
Your hubby has one of those faces that says he likes to have fun! You are greatly blessed!
What a great post!
I bet he makes you 'green around the gills'.. LOL - from Hatari with John Wayne..
Great to kno wyou a little more Debra! :)
It really is so important to have a sense of humor. Life is hard enough but if you can laugh, it makes it easier. Your hubby looks like a nice guy. :)
Oh that is so good! We are always quoting movies and songs here. You never know when we will break into song. Life is fun!
Debra,
I know I would just love your husband! Every post you write about him is so sweet and real, & that smile is awesome. I know that him & Rick would get along so well... We should really get together sometime. When I am in your state:)
Blessings to you!

It is so good to laugh together!
My husband keeps us laughing too!! He has such a quick wit - so fast with original one liners - he keeps us in stitches. Often, it's such a dry humor, that it takes people (that don't know him well) a minute to realize he's being funny.
It's really funny, because he presents as a very serious (even staid) personality and people are so amazed and taken aback to find out when they start visiting with him that he's such a comedian.
When my daughter was in high school, friends used to ask her what she did over the weekend - and time after time, she told them she hung out with her family. They just couldn't understand WHY she would want to do that, so she told them that we were way too much fun to miss, that she would rather be with us. She told them how we sit around laughing and finding fun in mundane life issues. She was shocked to realize that most people she met didn't have laughter and family fun in their homes.
Laughter is definitely a soothing, healing balm in any relationship.
I don't know how we'd get by without humor in our marriages! Our marriage is full of humor and playfulness. You look like a very happy and blessed family.
Pure joy is what Jason's smile says!
Thanks for sharing more about the love you two cherish!
Love and hugs,
Jill
He sounds like a great guy! Ryan is like that too! And he looks like Chris Farley which makes him even funnier! Happy Monday to you!
((hugs))
My hubby keeps me laughing too, isn't that awesome!
We love you guys but in our family it's usually me that does the goofing off lol. Those my husband does have those rare moments that knock me off my chair laughing. He does appreciate "my" humor which says something right? LOL.
When are we getting together?
Hugs.
He looks like he would be such a character! I love his smile. You two are so cute together!
What a blessing! :D Dh definitely has more humor than I do. LOL!
